Dag 17 vaknar vi pigga och utvilade. Packar, st\u00e4dar stugan och ger oss ut p\u00e5 v\u00e4gen. Varmt och soligt. Vi g\u00e5r raskt och kommer f\u00f6rv\u00e5nansv\u00e4rt snabbt till Hotagens kyrka. Den ligger vackert p\u00e5 en udde ute vid vattnet. Genom byn blir vi ”utsk\u00e4llda” i tur och ordning vid varje hus av respektive J\u00e4mthund. Alla verkar ha en och alla markerar de att de har nog sett oss. Vidare efter slingrande asfalt f\u00f6rbi spegelblanka sj\u00f6ar. Vackert men varmt. Sedan \u00e4r vi framme vid Valsj\u00f6by. D\u00e4r finns butik!! Glass, l\u00e4sk och en liten godisp\u00e5se. Glassen \u00e4tes som sig b\u00f6r p\u00e5 handlarns trapp. En kvinna stannar upp p\u00e5 v\u00e4g ur butiken och undrar om vi g\u00e5r Gr\u00f6na Bandet? ”-Jamen d\u00e5 g\u00e5r ni f\u00f6rbi mig uppe vid Vinklumpen sen. Kom bara ih\u00e5g att st\u00e4nga grindarna till reng\u00e4rdet. Det ska bli kalvm\u00e4rkning i natt. ”
\nVi lovar att vara noggranna. Sedan blir det mat och l\u00e4sk vid byns rastplats. Fint och snyggt som vanligt. (Heja Sverige!) Fr\u00e5n Valsj\u00f6by tar vi v\u00e4gen mot Gunnarvattnet. Brant uppf\u00f6r redan f\u00f6rsta backen. En man st\u00e5r och vittjar sin postl\u00e5da. Vi h\u00e4lsar.

\nVi ber\u00e4ttar om v\u00e5r resa och f\u00e5r en trevlig pratstund. Det \u00e4r alltid roligt att prata med folk l\u00e4ngs v\u00e4gen. Det sker bara f\u00f6r s\u00e4llan. Det kan<\/strong> bero p\u00e5 att vi ser lite apatiska ut och att det luktar r\u00e4vlya om oss efter dagar av svettig vandring utan tv\u00e4tt o dusch. Men vi \u00e4r<\/strong> ganska trevliga. Vi \u00e4r inte farliga fast\u00e4n vi \u00e4r fula.
\nVidare l\u00e4ngs grusv\u00e4g mot Vinklumpen. Vid Myrbodarna ser vi en skylt om Servering<\/em>. Vi v\u00e4nder upp. En s\u00e4teridyll med timmerhus, grindar och kossor. Mycket folk verkar det ocks\u00e5 vara. Men det \u00e4r ingen servering \u00f6ppen. Det \u00e4r v\u00e4glaget som har m\u00f6te. V\u00e4rdinnan ber\u00e4ttar att hon bor h\u00e4r som bonn-mora om sommaren. Mj\u00f6lkar, k\u00e4rnar sm\u00f6r och g\u00f6r ostar. Nina kan f\u00e5 stanna som piga efter att hon sagt att hon minsann vet hur man ”drar en seperator”. Mommo hade ju en s\u00e5n! Jag kunde f\u00e5 bli dr\u00e4ng. Tyv\u00e4rr m\u00e5ste vi vidare. Kanske en annan sommar?
\nVi g\u00e5r glada iv\u00e4g mot Vinklumpen. F\u00f6rbi renslakteriet och upp i skogen. Stigen \u00e4r ingen stig utan en rej\u00e4l k\u00f6rv\u00e4g f\u00f6r rensk\u00f6tarnas fordon. Ett par km kommer vi upp … innan vi f\u00f6rst\u00e5r att vi \u00e4r fel. Vi skulle ju ta av innan v\u00e4gen tog slut! N\u00e5 vi f\u00e5r ta det i morgon. Vi hittar en t\u00e4ltplats n\u00e4ra k\u00f6rv\u00e4gen och sl\u00e5r l\u00e4ger. N\u00e4r vi ligger d\u00e4r h\u00f6r vi hur renar n\u00e4rmar sig. Grymtar och mumlar. Vi ligger mitt inne i en renhjord. Snart f\u00e5r n\u00e5gon upp vittringen av oss och alla springer iv\u00e4g. Vi somnar. Ca 2:00 tiden p\u00e5 natten vaknar vi. Rensk\u00f6tarna har b\u00f6rjat driva ner renarna med fyrhjulingar och motorcyklar. (De g\u00f6r det om natten f\u00f6r att renarna inte ska bli f\u00f6r varma av att springa i solv\u00e4rmen. R\u00e4tta mig n\u00e5gon om jag har fel.) De tjoar och ropar. Sedan blir allt tyst. Och vi somnar om. <\/p>\n
